The International Symposium co-hosted by the University of Ca’ Foscari and Waseda University
“Textual Heritage for the 21st Century. Exploring the Potential of a New Analytic Category”
The Global Japanese Studies model unit is pleased to announce the following online symposium will be held during March 22-24, 2021, co-hosting with the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
This event is an extension of the workshop “The Use and Recreation of Textual Heritage: Ownership, Authorship, and Authenticity in Classical Japanese Literature” which was held on July 16, 2020, at Waseda University, aiming to examine its potential in reinterpret not only Japanese literature, but also various types of texts from around the world as cultural heritage, and to develop a new understanding of the humanities and sociology of the 21st century.
