■Aim
This conference proposes to explore the most flexible articulations of technology as an autonomous field of inquiry that embraces the discussions of the embodied experience, visuality, sound, textuality (manuscripts, scriptures, woodblock prints), new forms of sensory expression in digital media, and the culturally-specific ways technology unfolds in East Asia, spanning periods from the end of the early modern era to contemporary times.
